Mets Offer Wright Seven Years, Over One Hundred Million

The New York Mets have reportedly offered third baseman David Wright a seven year contract worth around $130 million dollars.

Wright posted a .306 avg in 2012, with 21 home runs and 93 runs batted in for the Mets. Wright also became the Mets all-time hits leader in 2012 passing Met great Ed Kranepool.

Wright has been a staple for the Mets at third baseman during his career, and has rightfully earned a seven year $100 million dollar plus contract. In his eight years with the Mets,Wright has hit over 200 home runs and has driven in over 800 runs.

Wright also played a key role in the Mets 2006 season that ended in Game 7 of the National League Championship Series.

It is expected that Wright will accept the deal and spend the next seven years in a New York Mets uniform.
