Reggie Evans to land with Nets
The Brooklyn Nets were able to get Forward Reggie Evans from the Clippers in a sign and trade deal sending, a 2nd round pick to the Clippers for Evans.
The Nets signed Evans to a three year $5 million dollar deal. The trade was consummated using the $3 million dollar trade exception, giving them a tough player down low to help fill out their roster.
Evans last year with the Clippers averaged 1.9 pts and 4.9 rebs in 56 games in the regular season. In 11 games in the post season, Evans saw his averages jump up to 3.0 pts and 7.3 rebs per game, as he played a big role in Clippers beating the Grizzles in the 1st round.
The Nets will definitely have Evans in the rotation as he is a great rebounder. Whether he is needed to start or not will depend on the rest of the Nets off-season as they pursue Dwight Howard and other free agents.
